Problem#

The /restarts page lost features over time. It has:

• A bare heatmap (minimal visualization)
• A single trigger button in RebootQueuePanel (not always visible)
• No live progress indicator when a build is executing
• No uptime/restart timeline charts
• No quick-action buttons in the TopBar

Requirements#

1. On-Demand Quick-Action Buttons#

• Add floating action buttons or TopBar buttons for: "Trigger Rebuild" and "Trigger Restart"
• These should work even when nothing is queued (ad-hoc trigger)
• Must preserve the hard-gate header check (x-mc-trigger-source: ui, x-mc-trigger-confirm: user-clicked)

2. Live Build Progress#

When a rebuild is executing (status=executing):

• Show a prominent banner/dialog with real-time progress
• Stream the build log output (tail from execute-reboot.sh)
• Show compile phase, lint phase, server restart phase
• Auto-dismiss when build completes

3. Better Visualizations#

• Uptime trend chart (line chart showing uptime over last 24h/7d)
• Restart frequency bar chart
• Crash rate trend over time
• Keep the existing heatmap but make it more readable

4. Build History Enhancements#

• Quick retry button for failed builds
• Build duration display
• Compare two builds diff

• components/RestartsClient.tsx — add charts, visualizations
• components/RebootQueuePanel.tsx — add ad-hoc trigger, live progress
• components/RebuildHistoryPanel.tsx — add retry, duration
• Optionally: components/TopBar.tsx — add quick-action buttons
• app/api/reboot-queue/trigger/route.ts — support ad-hoc rebuild kind bypassing queue (already partial)
• app/api/rebuild-progress/route.ts — new endpoint for live build log streaming

API endpoints needed#

• GET /api/rebuild-progress — returns current build log tail (if build is running)

Design#

• Dark theme consistent with MC
• Use same border/surface/accent tokens
• Mobile-responsive
• All charts should be SVG-based (use existing DynamicRecharts)

Acceptance Criteria#

1. Quick-action buttons visible from TopBar navbar
2. Click "Trigger Rebuild" shows confirmation, then triggers rebuild immediately
3. During rebuild, page shows live log output streaming
4. Rebuild completes, page updates automatically
5. Uptime trend chart renders correctly
6. Restart frequency bar chart renders correctly
7. Build history shows retry button for failed builds
8. Build duration shown in history list
