Mission#

Once t-055 proves DeepSeek API works reliably, decide which agents should default to which model and update their configs + workspace identity files accordingly.

Decision matrix (suggested defaults — adjust based on test results)#

Steps#

1. Read t-055's results.
2. For each agent that should switch:
   • Update ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json agents.list[].model
   • Update ~/.openclaw/workspaces/<agent>/IDENTITY.md "Brain:" line
   • Update ~/.openclaw/workspaces/<agent>/SOUL.md "What my brain is good at" section
3. openclaw config validate
4. Restart gateway.
5. Confirm via openclaw agents list.

Acceptance criteria#

• Each agent's default model decided based on real test data, not vibes
• Config + identity files updated consistently (no drift)
• Gateway healthy, all agents listed correctly

Closure note#

Superseded by free-tier-models project (t-335+). DeepSeek routing was already deployed as default provider for all agents. The free-tier fallback design now covers the broader routing strategy with Gemini/Groq/GitHub free tiers as additional options. See projects/model-strategy-engine/PROJECT.md.
